Loyola To Host Clinic For Prostate Cancer Patient

BALTIMORE - Loyola University Maryland's men's lacrosse team will hold a shooting clinic on Sunday, January 24, 2010, to raise money for a fellow NCAA and ECAC coach who is undergoing treatment for prostate cancer.
 
Bellarmine University Head Coach Jack McGetrick has battled prostate cancer in recent months, and the Intercollegiate Men's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IMLCA) is organizing nationwide clinics to raise money for his treatment.
 
The clinic, which will start with registration at 11 a.m. and finish at 2 p.m., is open to all all ages and ability levels. It will take place on Loyola's Diane Geppi-AIkens Field and feature the Loyola coaching staff and members of the Greyhounds' 2010 squad. Players will receive individual and team skill coaching at the clinic.
 
Cost of the clinic is $40 with 100-percent of the proceeds going to McGetrick's ongoing fight against the disease.

The Greyhounds will play Bellarmine for the first time on March 3, 2010, in Louisville, Ky. The Knights are a first-year member of the ECAC.
