Hobart's Silberlicht tabbed IL/Nike Player of the Week

Hobart junior goalie Max Silberlicht was named the Nike Player of the Week by InsideLacrosse.com today. A central figure in the Statesmen's 4-0 start to the season, he shutout then No. 20 Bucknell for more than 39 minutes on Saturday as Hobart topped the Bison 7-2.

Also named the ECAC Lacrosse League Co-Defensive Player of the Week, Silberlicht matched his season-high with 14 saves against Bucknell. The Bison's two tallies are the fewest by a Statesmen opponent since Hobart defeated Colgate 18-2 back in 1992.

Silberlicht has played all 240 minutes this season, allowing just 19 goals. He leads the nation in save percentage (.703) and goals against average (4.75).
